Dani places value upon natural human connection as a catalyst in healing. She utilizes a collaborative and flexible approach to meet you, your child or family, where you are to create your own unique pathway to healing. Dani provides individual, couples and family therapy and works with all ages across the lifespan.

Dani holds a Masters of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from The University of Akron. She is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor Designation and Marriage and Family Therapist. 

Dani specializes in the treatment of trauma and related disorders. Dani has extensively studied and received certifications in multiple trauma treatment modalities. Dani is a Certified Trauma Practitioner (CTP-C) and Certified in EMDR. EMDR is a highly effective evidence-based psychotherapy that is used to treat a wide range of challenges such as: PTSD; Trauma and Stress Related Disorders; Anxiety; Phobias; Panic Attacks; Depression and Bipolar Disorders; Grief/Loss; Pain; Addiction; Sleep Disturbance; Eating Disorders; Dissociative Disorders.

Dani’s true passion is helping individuals of all ages heal from emotional wounds and traumas that have negatively impacted the way they view themselves and the world around them. She strives to help her clients realign with their authentic selves to achieve an increase in personal or life satisfaction.  Dani wants to help you develop empathy and understanding for yourself by first understanding, “it is not what is wrong with you,” but how you learned how to survive and deal with the things that have happened to you. She will work to provide a safe space and trusting working relationship that creates space for your healing journey.

Dani utilizes a knowledgeable and interactive approach to treatment of trauma for children/adolescents by allowing them to be creative and expressive through a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques, such as structured sensory interventions, sand-tray, expressive art and play.

Dani also specializes in the area of family and couples therapy to improve communication, conflict resolution and relationship satisfaction.
