Dani Proffitt MEd., LPCC-S, MFT, holds a Masters of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from The University of Akron. She is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervisor Designation (LPCC-S) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). Dani is an EMDR Certified Therapist and an EMDR Consultant through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Dani is also the owner of Pathways Family Counseling in North Royalton, Ohio.

 

Dani has worked in private practice and non-profit community-based settings. She has experience working with all ages across the lifespan, couples and families. Dani has extensive experience working with children and adolescents.

 

Dani specializes in the treatment of trauma and related disorders, as well as, anxiety, depression, mood related issues and relational issues. Dani can offer creative and knowledgeable approaches in application of EMDR with child/adolescent populations.

 

Dani’s true passion is helping individuals of all ages heal from emotional wounds and traumas that have negatively impacted the way they view themselves and the world around them. She strives to help her clients realign with their authentic selves to achieve an increase in personal or life satisfaction through releasing emotional burdens.

 

Through witnessing the powerful impact it has had on the lives of her clients, EMDR has become a strong passion of Dani's. She wishes to share her excitement through consultation services to help clinicians grow their confidence and understanding of EMDR.
