Laura Williamson, MSSA., LISW-S

Laura brings a respectful, authentic and nurturing energy to her work. Utilizing her belief that each individual is the expert in their own story, she will assist you in developing a therapeutic plan using your unique strengths and skills. Laura has worked in the mental health field for over ten years in office, home, and community-based services. During this time, she has provided support to individuals of all ages with struggles including depression, anxiety, life stress and change, parenting struggles, health concerns, relationship difficulties, mood disorders and others.

She believes that creating an open, authentic, and non-judgmental space is essential to the therapeutic relationship. Through eclectic treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and a strengths based perspective, Laura supports her clients in identifying their goals, inherent strengths and developing the skills to achieve healing and stability in mental health.

Laura obtained her Masters of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 2007 and has been a Licensed Independent Social Worker since 2009.
