

Meagan Tanner, MA, LPC

Meagan Tanner is a Licensed Professional Counselor, able to work with a wide variety of individuals of all ages and backgrounds. She graduated with her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Akron.
Meagan is experienced working with all ages but specializes in children, teens and young adults. She has a special interest in working with children and adolescents who have experienced a trauma and helping them along their journey toward healing. Meagan is passionate in her work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, and other trauma-related diagnoses. Meagan strongly believes that every child deserves to be met where they are, with love and understanding.
Meagan utilizes an eclectic approach, drawing on concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, structured sensory interventions, and psycho-education. She is always looking to continue educating herself in trauma based counseling. Meagan strives to create a calm space for clients to safely express themselves and build empowerment. Her goal is to be an objective, professional partner as clients work toward achieving their personal goals, no matter what they may be. Meagan believes that the greatest reward in counseling is watching her clients grow and flourish into the best possible version of themselves.
