Lauren holds the space for healing to take place. She has experienced healing of her own challenging experiences and desires to be that bridge for others. Lauren invites her clients to an enriching pathway to their healing journey. She is charismatic, has high energy and can be infectiously enthusiastic. She believes in a collaborative and holistic approach to healing, with a trauma focused lens. She is passionate about advocating for those who might feel like they do not have a voice.
Lauren considers herself a life-long learner and has obtained her Masters of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA). Additionally, she is pursuing training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Lauren has a history of collaborating with individuals struggling from a wide range of mental health pains including, but not limited to, trauma, mood disorders, psychosis, alcohol and other drugs, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. Lauren has worked and advocated with individuals within the community mental health setting, in-patient hospitalization setting, partial hospitalization programs, and an intensive outpatient program. Bringing light to dark places with individuals from diverse life experiences is something Lauren finds purposeful.
