Through the integration of authentic interaction, creative arts, and humor, Erinn creates a therapeutic environment where clients’ true selves are seen and valued. She places the most importance on taking the time to truly know each client and cultivating a safe and trusting relationship.
Erinn is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is humbled by the opportunity to work in this field. She received her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University, and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with a focus in Early Intervention Specialist from the University of Dayton. Prior to making the decision to pursue her degree in counseling, Erinn worked as both a general and special education classroom teacher. It was in the classroom where Erinn developed her passion for addressing needs related to development, life stressors, family relations, attachment styles, and emotional regulation in an attempt to improve daily functioning and life satisfaction. Erinn served as an advocate for both students and their families, and continues to value open, direct communication and a team approach to treatment.
Erinn has experience working with clients across the entire lifespan experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and mental health struggles related to life transitions and stressors. She has specific training in the development of parenting skills and working with those with special needs. Her clinical experience ranges across many settings including community based, residential, and group therapy.
Erinn believes that all forward motion counts, and recognizes the strength it takes to schedule the initial therapy session. She looks forward to the opportunity to get to know and work with you, your child, or family on reaching your desired goals.
Erinn works under the supervision of Dani Proffitt, MEd., LPCC-S, MFT
