Rachel Turner Lindsey
Rachel believes change occurs through a strong therapeutic relationship. She strives to create a space where you will feel safe, respected, and heard. In this environment, Rachel will help you process thoughts, feelings, past trauma, and other deeper issues, so the healing process can begin.
Each person is unique, and Rachel will collaborate with you to help identify your specific needs, strengths, and goals. Therapy is not “one-size-fits-all” and thus she tailors her approach to each individual.
Rachel is passionate about working with adults, families, children, and adolescents to make positive changes in their life. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and trauma and has experience treating a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, grief, and life transitions.
Rachel is in the process of becoming trained in EMDR and is excited to offer this service to clients. EMDR is an effective, evidenced-based therapy that can be used to treat clients who have experienced trauma. This type of therapy targets the underlying beliefs, memories, and feelings caused by trauma that may be causing distress in the present.
Rachel earned her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. She is currently enrolled in Kent State University’s doctorate program in Counselor Education and Supervision.
