Anna Bigun

Marriage and Family Therapist

Anna provides compassionate support to individuals, couples, and families, helping them find healing, build meaningful connections, and grow in alignment with their personal goals. Her approach is holistic and tailored—drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices and a systemic lens to create individualized treatment plans that meet each client where they are.

She works collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths and develop clear goals to navigate life’s challenges, whether in-person or through secure teletherapy sessions.

Anna supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and trauma. She also helps individuals strengthen self-esteem and deepen their commitment to personal growth.

With families, Anna focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and building stronger, healthier dynamics. She offers reconciliation work, as well as play and art therapy, and has experience working with children as young as three, as well as tweens and teens—helping them navigate the ups and downs of development through each life stage.

Anna also works with couples to enhance communication, rebuild intimacy, and strengthen emotional bonds. Using evidence-based methods like EFT, CBT, the Gottman Method, Imago, and more, she helps couples build healthy, resilient relationships.

With over 20 years of experience working with children and families, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge from her work in education, support for gifted youth and elite athletes, and mental health care. Her previous work in community mental health included serving diverse populations and leading stress management and postpartum support groups.

Anna earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron and holds a Montessori teaching diploma from the North American Montessori Center. She is also trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention through the Crisis Prevention Institute.
